In my previous post I mentioned that my first completed project was a small purse I made for myself. I found this great free pattern and tutorial here, and this is what I came up with...
I love this purse! It is adorable and was so easy to make, so I decided to make some more as gifts. The only problem is that it is sorta small, and most of the people I would like to give one to seem to like big purses-so I decided to make my own pattern for a larger version of the same purse. Brittany Link's birthday was coming up, so I made this for her...
Overall I'd say it was a success, but maybe still a little on the small side...we'll see if I can come up with a better size for the next recipient-who will it be?

Labeling My Creations
The whole reason I'm starting this blog is because I've picked up a new hobby, sewing. So far I've only completed one project, a small purse I made for myself, but I'd like to start making clothes and shoes for the kids, as well as gifts for our friends and family. Someday I may even sell some of my creations, so I thought it would be a good idea to come up with a logo and start labeling my creations now. I wanted a cute, unique way to brand items as being made by me in my spare time at home. My initials are JAM so I thought "homemade JAM" would be a great way to do just that, and I came up with this...
I'm hoping to have some labels printed up with this logo soon so I can start labeling my creations...wish me luck!
